Tree Planting

This entails planting of trees at their correct depth with the correct volume of fertilizer to ensure longevity and health of your tree.

Tree Selection

We assess area, soil and recommend examples of specifically chosen trees to grow in that area.

Tree Support Systems

We offer cabling, bracing and other support systems to limit the movement of branches, leaders and whole trees for reasons of safety, tree health or growth support.

As a qualified ISA arborist, Walter understands tree biology as well as soil/correct conditions for trees to promote a healthy tree.

Palm Shaving And Pruning

This entails removal of dead fronds and rough shaggy bark on the palm. This process ensures nutrients travel directly to the “heart” of the palm and are not wasted on the dead fronds. Our service can also be extended to creating the “pineapple” shapes on certain palm trees for aesthetic purposes.

Tree Trimming Or Pruning

Pruning is performed to remove branches that have become overgrown or dangerous, or for a range of other reasons, including danger of breaking or tearing off, easy access for burglaries, or risk of harm to buildings, infrastructure or persons.

Hedge Trimming

We shape and trim hedges to retain shape and promote healthy growth.

Tree Crowning

This serves to reduce the size of a tree’s overall canopy.

Tree Shaping/Thinning

We prune trees back or into a desired specific shape (this is popular for hedges) or thinned out to promote new growth, or if there may be too much foliage falling.

Root Pruning And Root Barriers

Root barriers are used to protect drainage, driveways, underground water pipes and house foundations. These barriers serve to prevent root growth to a certain area.

Tree Felling

This is the process of cutting down an entire tree but does not include the removal or grinding of the root.

Tree Mulching

We mulch cut tree waste to be used as fertilizer by our clients or remove it if the client so prefers.

Stump Grinding

We grind away the stump (and sometimes surface roots) of a tree after it has been felled using a stump grinder.

Plot Clearing

This involves uprooting and clearing vegetation from a plot to prepare for construction or a project.

Stump Removal

This requires digging out and chopping away the entire stump and roots of a tree to remove it. It is unlike grinding, where the root is generally ground to 15cm below ground level.

Deadwood Removals

We prune dead branches or decayed areas of tree to ensure long lasting health and longevity of the tree, to ensure that disease does not attack the tree or the decay does not affect the rest of the tree.
